Join the wonderfully talented Sam Molloy During this fun 1 day course.

Location: Craftyangel Sewing Studio, Unit 2b, Hyde Hall Farm, Sandon, Buntingford. SG90RU

Time: 10.00am - 4.30pm

Cost: £85 - Includes all materials, cushion pad, tuition, equipment, light buffet lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Level: Confident beginner

Timings for the day are as follows;

10.00am - 1.30pm: Free Motion embroidery.  

Using a selection of lovely winter weight/upholstery fabrics you will patchwork the front of your cushion cover and free motion your chosen design onto this base.

Sam explains about free motion embroidery;

"It's a very different experience to 'normal' sewing.  Once the feed dogs are lowered on the sewing machine you, the stitcher, have complete and total control over where and how the fabric moves under the needle.

We always start off with a practice piece of fabric where I encourage you to doodle, write your name, draw a little picture; a house or a flower for example and after a few awkward moments you'll find it clicks into place

At the end of this class you' will be able to draw with a sewing machine - how cool is that?!"

1.30pm - 2.00pm: Light Buffet Lunch

2.00pm - 4.30pm: Construct your cushion cover using your free motion masterpiece from the morning session and insert a zip closure.
